Manchester, New Hampshire - The Somerset Patriots (5-3) dropped their second in a row Thursday night in a 7-2 loss to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (3-5) at Delta Dental Stadium.

Somerset struck first with a two-out RBI double from Michael Beltre in the top of the second, and were cruising through the first four innings. The Patriots starting pitcher, Matt Krook, needed just 39 pitches to face the minimum over the first four innings.

But Krook and the Patriots ran into trouble in the fifth inning. Four-straight Fisher Cats reached base with two outs in the inning, including RBI singles from Brock Lunquist and Samad Taylor.

The Patriots leveled the game on a two-out RBI double from Diego Castillo in the top of the sixth, but the tied ballgame was short-lived. Lundquist provided a four-run cushion in the bottom of the sixth with a grand slam (2) -- the first grand slam allowed by Somerset this year.

New Hampshire capped the scoring on a two-out RBI double off the bat of Otto Lopez in the bottom of the eighth.

Andrew McInvale (W, 1-0) earned the win after allowing one run over two innings of relief. Carlos Espinal (L, 0-1) took the loss with four runs allowed across 1.1 innings of work.

The Patriots continue their six-game series in New Hampshire Thursday night. Righty Janson Junk (0-0, 2.45 ERA) takes the mound for Somerset against Fisher Cats righty Kyle Johnston (0-0, 9.00 ERA). First pitch at Delta Dental Stadium is set for 6:35 p.m.
