
First-Place IronPigs Return Saturday for Sizable Homestand

(Allentown, Pa.) - The first-place IronPigs return from a brief road trip to open a mammoth eight-game homestand at Coca-Cola Park beginning Saturday at 6:35 p.m. against the Gwinnett Braves. The initial four-game series against Gwinnett is highlighted by Coca-Cola Park's first-ever Hockey Night, a Youth Cap giveaway and the final Education Day of the season.
Tickets for all upcoming IronPigs games can be purchased in-person at Coca-Cola Park, by calling (610) 841-PIGS or online at ironpigsbaseball.com. Despite leading all of Minor League Baseball in average attendance in 2010 with 9,227 fans per game, prices for single-game tickets remain identical for the fourth consecutive season and start as low as $6 for General Admission, granting fans access to the Capital BlueCross Lawn seating area and standing room only areas. Field Level reserved seats are just $9.
The AT&T Plaza gates will open early on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. as the IronPigs begin a four-game series with Atlanta's Triple-A affiliate, the Gwinnett Braves. Come hungry and thirsty and enjoy food and drink specials while listening to live music and watching batting practice from the AT&T Plaza.
Also on Saturday, the IronPigs will wear hockey-inspired jerseys to celebrate Hockey Night at Coca-Cola Park. The special jerseys will be auctioned off at the conclusion of Saturday's game against Gwinnett with the proceeds benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of Bethlehem and IronPigs Charities. Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite hockey "sweater" to the ballpark and partake in the hockey night festivities.
All Saturday home games at Coca-Cola Park have a 6:35 p.m. start time and Club Gates will open for Club Level patrons beginning at 5 p.m.
Don't miss Sunday's 1:35 tilt against the G-Braves as the first 2,000 youngsters 17 and under will take home IronPigs Youth Caps presented by Capital BlueCross. Immediately following Sunday's game, all children 12 and under can show off their speed with Kids Run the Bases presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network.
The IronPigs-Braves series continues on Monday at 7:05 p.m. with Youth Education in the Arts Night at Coca-Cola Park. Fans can help YEA! earn $500,000 for their programs for young people in the Lehigh Valley by voting right now at www.yea.org.
Monday marks Coca-Cola Park's 4th annual pre-game hot dog eating competition! Root for the Lehigh Valley's top competitive eaters as they attempt to consume as many hot dogs and buns as possible in five minutes! This year's winner will receive a team autographed baseball, four ticket vouchers to an upcoming home game and an IronPigs cap.
Also on Monday, there will also be a Morning Call pre-game autograph session with select IronPigs players from 6:00-6:20 p.m. on the main concourse. Be sure to pick up a copy of Sunday's Morning Call to receive the IronPigs photo insert featuring IronPigs outfielder, Rich Thompson and pitcher, Drew Carpenter.
The four-game series concludes with the final Education Day of the season presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network featuring a special start time of 10:35 a.m.
Following a scheduled off-day on Wednesday, May 25, the IronPigs partake in a four-game series against their Northern Division nemesis, the Rochester Red Wings at Coca-Cola Park. Tickets still remain for every game in the Rochester series that includes the following promotions:
* May 26: Ladies Night Flip Flops presented by Lafayette Ambassador Bank (first 2,000 women 18 and older)
* May 27: Friday Night Fireworks display presented by Ford.
* May 28: Fireworks presented by Penn State Lehigh Valley

With the exception of Saturday home games, the Main Gates open 75 minutes prior to game time while the Club Level gates open 90 minutes before scheduled first pitch time.

Fans are reminded that there are three entry points for parking and are encouraged to use the Dauphin Street entrance when traveling from downtown Allentown. In addition to the Dauphin Street entrance, entry to Coca-Cola Park can be gained off American Parkway and Union Boulevard. Preferred/Handicapped Parking access is available via American Parkway only.
The cost of parking in Coca-Cola Park's brand-new "Pig Tail Porking Spaces" is $3 per vehicle for all IronPigs home games.
