Gwinnett Stripers News Release

The Lead: The Gwinnett Braves couldn't put the final game of the four game series away, dropping Friday night's contest 4-1 to the Rochester Red Wings at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA. G-Braves starter Mike Minor could never get on track against Rochester, and the offense also never opened it up in the homestand finale. The G-Braves (22-19) remain in second place in the International League South division at 2.5 games behind Durham, while the Red Wings (16-23) remain in last place in the IL North with the win (both figures at press time).

It Was Over When: Minor allowed 5 hits in the first two innings, as the G-Braves fell down to an early 3-0 deficit the squad could never overcome.
