LONDON, ONTARIO - The London Rippers have released infielder, Josh Federico.

The Amherstburg, Ontario native decided to move on from the Rippers to focus more on his teaching career.

London Rippers General Manager/Field Manager, David Martin admits it was a difficult decision, "We were glad to have Josh as part of our program, especially as a Canadian baseball player."

"At this point though, we thought it was best for everyone involved that we part." Martin announced, "It was a mutual understanding and we are both ready to move on."

Federico was hitting .126 in 16 at-bats for the Rippers. He had a double and an RBI.

Martin added, "We wish him the best and think he's a fine young man. He will do some great things in his career, no doubt about it."
