Postseason? We're In.
FC Dallas became MLS' first and only Western Conference team to clinch a playoff spot last weekend after playing to a draw against the Portland Timbers.
FC Dallas can secure a top-four seed in the playoffs with win at home over Orlando City, coupled with a draw or loss by Portland as they travel to face Real Salt Lake.
That would mean either hosting a Knockout Round game Oct. 31-Nov. 1 (seeds 3-4) or a Leg Two home match in the Western Conference Semifinal (seeds 1-2).
Ulloa Hitting a Homegrown Minutes Milestone
Homegrown midfielder Victor Ulloa has played 9945 minutes in his eight-season MLS career. The Wylie, TX native is only 55 minutes away from the 10,000-minute mark. When he hits it, he will become just the seventh Homegrown Player in MLS history to reach the 10,000-minute plateau. Ulloa has started each of Dallas' previous 15 matches and has played the full 90 in the last seven.
On 10/6/18
This is just the second match Dallas has ever played on October 6, 2018. FCD beat Columbus Crew SC 3-1 on this date in 2007.
Against Orlando
FC Dallas has never lost to Orlando and has not allowed a goal to the club in three previous meetings. Dallas won the only meeting in Frisco between the clubs, posting a 4-0 win on July 4, 2016. FCD won the first meeting between the two teams in a 2-0 win in 2015 and played to a scoreless draw last year in Orlando.
About Orlando City SC
Orlando City SC is winless in its last 10 matches. The 10-match winless streak is a club record over its four MLS seasons. OCSC posted a nine-game winless streak earlier this year. The club has been shutout in its last three matches. Despite being in last place in MLS' Eastern Conference, Orlando is still in playoff contention but will be eliminated this weekend with either a loss or draw against Dallas.
