---THURSDAY, JANUARY 23, 2003 VS. ST. JOHN'S MAPLE LEAFS---

The Springfield Falcons and St. John's Maple Leafs will meet for the fourth time this season when they face off on Thursday night at the Springfield Civic Center. The Falcons are 2-0-1 against the Maple Leafs this season. St. John's is currently in fourth place in the Canadian Division with a

14-28-4-1 record for 33 points. St. John's lost their last game to Manchester 5-1. The Falcons defeated the Maple Leafs 7-5 in their last meeting on 1/4/03 in St. John's. Brad Leeb leads the team in scoring with 23 goals and 16 assists for 39 points. His 23 goals are good for second in the AHL and leads the AHL in power play goals with 11.Brad Boyes is second on the team in scoring with 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points. He is second on the team in power play goals with five. Anders Eriksson leads the team in assists with 21. Doug Doull leads the team in penalty minutes with 134. Nathan Perrott is second on the team in penalty minutes with 131. Sebastien Centomo has a 7-10-1 record with a 3.90 GAA and a .878 save percentage. Jamie Hodson has a 0-1-0 record with a 3.10 GAA and a .884 save percentage. St. John's has the 11th ranked power play in the AHL scoring on 17.1 percent of their power play opportunities. St. John's is 26th in the AHL in penalty killing, killing 79.1 percent of their shorthanded situations. The Falcons beat the Maple Leafs in their last meeting 7-5. Frank Banham leads the Falcons in scoring against the Maple Leafs with three goals and two assists for five points. Three of Banham's goals were scored on the power play. Morgan Warren leads the Maple Leafs in scoring against the Falcons this season with three goals and one assist for four points. Evgeny Konstantinov is 2-0 against St. John's with a 2.94 GAA and a .917 save percentage.

---FRIDAY, JANUARY 24, 2003 AT HARTFORD WOLF PACK---

The Springfield Falcons and Hartford Wolf Pack will meet for the sixth time this season when they face off on Friday in Hartford. This will be the third meeting in seven days between these two teams. The Wolf Pack are 3-2 against the Falcons this season, including 2-0 in Hartford. Hartford is currently in third place in the East Division with a 19-17-6-3 record for 47 points. Hartford lost their last game in overtime 3-2 against Providence. Dixon Ward leads the team in scoring with 15 goals and 25 assists for 40 point. John Tripp leads the team in goals with 21 and is second in points with 32. Tripp is currently on recall with the New York Rangers. Garrett Burnett leads the team in penalty minutes with 139. Johan Holmqvist has a 7-8-4 record with a 2.38 GAA and a .919 save percentage. Jason LaBarbera has an 11-10-2 record with a 2.86 GAA and a .904 save percentage. Hartford has the seventh ranked power play in the AHL scoring on 18.4 percent of their power play opportunities. Hartford is 10th in the AHL in penalty killing, killing 85.0 percent of their shorthanded situations. Erik Westrum has one goal and three assists against the Wolf Pack this season. Gernander has three goals against the Falcons this season and five total points. Roman Lyashenko has two goals against the Falcons and also has six total points. Hartford won the last meeting against the Falcons 4-1 in Hartford. Ward, Matt Kitch, Nils Ekman, and Richard Lintner each scored for the Wolf Pack. Banham scored the lone goal for the Falcons. Holmqvist made 21 saves in recording the win. The Wolf Pack have scored the game's first goal in four of the five games and Hartford has six shorthanded goals against the Falcons this season.

---SATURDAY, JANUARY 25, 2003 VS, MANCHESTER MONARCHS---

The Springfield Falcons and Manchester Monarchs will meet for the third time this season when they face off on Saturday night in Springfield. The Monarchs are 2-0 against the Falcons this season outscoring Springfield 12-2, with both games taking place in Manchester. Manchester is currently in second place in the North Division with a 25-9-4-3 record for 57 points. Manchester is 2-0-1 in their last three games. Pavel Rosa leads the team in scoring with 17 goals and 20 assists for 37 points. Steve Kelly is second in scoring with 12 goals and 22 assists for 34 points. Eric Healey leads the team in power play goals with nine and has 15 points in his last seven games against the Falcons. Christobal Huet has a 12-7-5 record with a 2.48 GAA and a .915 save percentage. Travis Scott has a 13-5-1 record with a 2.62 GAA and a.917 save percentage. Manchester has the top ranked power play in the AHL scoring on 22.9 percent of their power play opportunities. Manchester is fifth in the AHL in penalty killing, killing 86.9 percent of their shorthanded situations. Healey, Rosa, Jared Aulin, and Yanick Lehoux have scored two goals each against the Falcons this season. Huet and Scott have combined to make 75 saves and allowed just two goals this season against the Falcons. Banham and Ramzi Abid are the only Falcons to score this season against the Monarchs. Manchester has six power play goals in 12 power play opportunities this season against Springfield.

PLAYER/TEAM NOTABLES:

Brian Holzinger has one goal and one assist since returning to the Falcons.

Sheldon Keefe scored in his first game of the season with the Falcons on January 17th.

Jean-Marc Pelletier won his Falcons debut on 1/17/03 against the Hartford Wolf Pack earning the game's first star. Pelletier recorded his 100th pro win on Monday against Albany.
