
Falcons Streak Halted with 4-0 Loss

Bridgeport, CT - The Falcons surrendered three goals in the third period as they fell to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Saturday night.
The first period created several scoring chances but concluded scoreless. The Falcons closed the period with a five-on-three power play for 53 seconds. Sound Tigers goaltender Stephon Williams stopped all scoring chances to keep the game scoreless.
The scoreless deadlock continued in the second between the Falcons and the Sound Tigers. Tyler Beskorowany saw 18 shots in the stanza before allowing a goal from Sebastian Collberg with 1:09 left. The forward scored his first of the year beating Beskorowany under his arm with assists credited to Matt Carkner and Bracken Kearns.
The Sound Tigers posted three goals in the third that began 5:21 into the period with a tally from Kearns. His eighth of the season was assisted by Ryan Pulock and Joe Whitney. Alan Quine gave the Sound Tigers a 3-0 lead with his fifth of the season scored at 14:04. Adam Pelech and Ryan Strome assisted on the goal. Justin Vaive completed the scoring with a breakaway goal for his fourth of the season with 33 seconds left. The goal was assisted by James Wright.
Williams improved to 5-2-0 with his first professional shutout on 26 saves. Beskorowany falls to 0-2-0 stopping 31 shots.
The Falcons return home next Friday night to host the Utica Comets for the first time in history. The game begins at 7 p.m. and starts a three-game weekend that concludes on Sunday against the Albany Devils at the MassMutual Center. The contest on Sunday is slated for a 5 p.m. start.
