IceCaps Edge Bears in Shootout

St. John's IceCaps News Release


Hershey, PA - The St. John's IceCaps clawed back from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Hershey Bears in a shootout. Daniel Carr tied the game with just 2:56 left in regulation to send the IceCaps to overtime. Captain Gabriel Dumont scored the game-winning goal in a four-round shootout, earning the title of the IceCaps Hardest Working Player.

The IceCaps started off scoreless in the first, but rookie defenseman Brett Lernout notched his first pro goal with a rocket from the point midway through the second to get the IceCaps up on the scoreboard. Defenseman Morgan Ellis also notched a goal for the St. John's club.
