Falcons Blank Devils 3-0

The Springfield Falcons used two goals from Carl Corazzini and a 22-save shutout from goaltender Devan Dubnyk to beat the Lowell Devils 3-0 in front of 4,161 at the MassMutual Center on Saturday night. The Falcons have now won two of their last three games as they head into Lowell on Monday.

After a scoreless first period, Corazzini opened the scoring at 1:10 of the second period with his fifth goal of the season. Corazzini added his second marker of the game at 3:48 of the middle period giving the Falcons a 2-0 lead. Derek Bekar expanded Springfield's advantage to 3-0 with a shorthanded goal at 15:59 of the middle frame.

Prior to Saturday's game, the Falcons received an addition to their lineup after the Edmonton Oilers made a trade, and newly acquired forward Ryan Stone made his Falcons debut.
