Syracuse, NY - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Syracuse Crunch 6-2 on Saturday evening. Yanick Lehoux and Ben Maxwell each scored twice to lead the Bulldogs to their second victory in as many nights.
Maxwell scored the first goal of the game for the second consecutive night while on the power play at 7:44 of the first frame. Olivier Latendresse sent the puck to Yannick Weber, who one-timed a shot on Syracuse starting goaltender Sebastian Dahm. Maxwell proceeded to bang the rebound past Dahm. Hamilton added to its lead at 11:03. Lehoux poke-checked the puck off the stick of a Syracuse defender. The puck sailed over the right shoulder of a surprised Dahm for the goal.

The Crunch finally got on the scoreboard at 12:17 of the second stanza. Hamilton starting goaltender Loic Lacasse was out of position after stopping a Derek MacKenzie shot. Michael Blunden fired the loose puck into the empty net.
Maxwell regained Hamilton's three-goal lead at Ryan O'Byrne of the middle period. Maxwell received a pass from 14:31 before blasting a one-timer past Dahm.
Following the goal Sebastian Dahm was pulled in favour of Ryan Munce.
Steve Kelly added the Crunch's second goal at 15:07 of the second period. The puck trickled through the legs of Lacasse after Kelly knocked the puck out of mid-air. Lehoux notched his second goal of the game with three seconds remaining in the second period. Lehoux fired a shot that bounced past Munce to regain the Bulldogs' three-goal lead.
