PAPILLION, NE - In the final game before the All-Star break, the Round Rock Express (54-44) belted six home runs en route to a 10-3 victory over the Omaha Storm Chasers (44-53) Sunday afternoon at Werner Park.

Starter Evan Meek allowed just one run over 7.0 innings to log his fourth quality start of the season and pick up his fourth win.

After struggling to find offense in two of the first three games of the series, the Express plated nine of its 10 runs via the long ball in Sunday's matinée. Second baseman Yangervis Solarte kicked things off in the first when he launched a two-run bomb to spot Meek two scores before the right-hander could step on the mound.

Meek gave one run back in the first when Omaha drew a one-out walk and followed with two straight singles to cut Round Rock's lead in half. That would be the only blemish on the starter's line as Meek went on to allow just one hit over the next 6.0 innings while the offense continued to leave the ballpark.

After two scoreless frames, the Express offense awoke in the fourth when first baseman Chris McGuiness blasted his seventh homer of the season, making the score 3-1. Designated hitter Manny Ramirez followed one inning later when he took Omaha reliever Will Smith's two-out offering over the left field wall for a two-run shot, his third since joining the Express just one week ago.

With the score 5-1, the E-Train added three more home runs, one in each of the final three innings to open up the game as left fielder Aaron Cunningham, center fielder Jim Adduci and third baseman Mike Olt also left the yard. The lone run scored without a big fly was a RBI double off the bat of McGuiness in the seventh.

Meek turned the game over to the bullpen in the eighth, giving way to right-hander Justin Miller who worked his second straight scoreless outing before Ben Rowen took over in the ninth.

Rowen struggled for the first time at the Triple-A level, allowing two unearned runs before finishing the game. While his ERA with the E-Train remained at zero, the side-winding right-hander snapped a season-long 29.2 innings scoreless streak that spanned between Round Rock and Double-A Frisco.

The Express now breaks for the Pacific Coast League All-Star Game before welcoming the Iowa Cubs to Round Rock for a four-game series starting Thursday, July 18. The E-Train and I-Cubs will open the four-game set with the return of the Original Thirsty Thursday, presented by Firetrol Protection Systems featuring $1.00 sodas and discounted draft beer.
