Express Forward Jaffray Named ECHL Rookie of the Month

ROANOKE, VA – Roanoke Express forward Jason Jaffray was named the East Coast Hockey League's Rookie of the Month for November, it was announced today by the league. Jaffray notched 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) in 14 Express games during November to earn the honor. The highlight of the month came on November 26 at Reading, when he scored his first professional hat-trick against the Royals, while adding an assist as well.

The 21-year-old from Olds, Alberta, Canada is third in the ECHL in overall scoring with 33 points (15 G, 18 A), and leads all rookies in the league with that point total.

Jaffray currently holds the longest points scoring streak in the league, having picked up a point in nine straight games. In addition to receiving the Rookie of the Month award, Jaffray was the runner-up in voting for the ECHL November Player of the Month award.
