
Columbus's Cole Suspended Three Games

PRINCETON, N.J. - The East Coast Hockey League announced on Thursday that it has suspended Columbus defenseman Phil Cole for three games as a result of his actions in ECHL Game # 277 against Columbia on November 30.
At 15:15 of the first period, Cole delivered a forceful blow to the head of a Columbia player. He was assessed a match penalty under Rule 43(a) Attempt to Injure. He is suspended the three games under Rule 33(a) Supplementary Discipline.
Cole will miss Columbus' games at Mississippi (Dec. 6), vs. Baton Rouge (Dec. 8) and vs. Greenville (Dec. 10).
