LOOK BACK AT LAST GAMES: The Evansville Otters shutout the Schaumburg Boomers 7-0 in game one of the doubleheader on Sunday before losing 2-1 on a controversial walk-off sacrifice fly in game two. Outfielder C.J. Henry, first baseman Nick Schwaner and designated hitter Andrew Clark all had two RBIs in the first game as pitch- er Ryan Zamorsky earned his second straight complete game shutout. Clark also hit his first home run in the win. Game two began with Schaumburg going ahead 1-0 on a sacrifice fly. Evansville tied the game with an RBI infield single from Steve Marino in the sixth. Schaumburg won the game on an eighth inning sacrifice fly as runner Steve Pfister scored a top catcher Sam Mahoney's leg.

DOUBLEHEADER DOMINANCE: The Evansville Otters are 5-1 this season in dou- bleheaders. They swept a doubleheader at Traverse City and also toppled River City in a doubleheader at home. The Otters are 15-3 over the last two seasons in doubleheaders.

TODAY'S PROMOTIONS: It is Mary Kay Night and Deaconess Nurs- ing Home Recognition Night. As part of the doubleheader, there will be two games played, each scheduled for seven innings each. It is also $1 Hot Dog Night!

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS SCOUTING REPORT: The Miners enter this series after a six- game homestand. Southern Illinois won each of the last five games, including a sweep of the Frontier Greys. The Miners are 1-2 this season on the road after losing a series at Washington in May. The team is collectively batting .289 . The Miners team ERA is 4.47.
