Esteban Loaiza Scheduled to Begin Rehab Appearance Wednesday at Raley Field

WHAT: Oakland A's starting pitcher Esteban Loaiza is scheduled to begin his Major League Rehabilitation assignment with the River Cats on Wednesday, August 1 against the New Orleans Zephyrs at Raley Field. Loaiza is expected to throw approximately 60 pitches. He was placed on the 15-day DL on April 1st retroactive to March 25th with a knee injury. On May 4th, Loaiza was transferred to the 60-day DL. In two rehab appearances with the River Cats on May 22 and May 25, Loaiza was 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA in 6.2 innings.
