Esks Select Shamawd Chambers 6th Overall in the CFL Canadian Draft

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos have selected wide receiver Shamawd Chambers 6th overall in the CFL Canadian Draft, the club announced today.

Chambers played his college football at Wilfred Laurier University for the Golden Hawks. The Toronto, Ontario native is 6.03, 219lbs; he ran a 4.42, 40-yard dash at the CFL combine which was the fastest recorded time.

Eskimo General Manager Eric Tillman says "Shamawd Chambers is a young man with size, speed, and significant upside."
