Today, the SeaWolves look for a series split as they take on the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) in the final game of a four-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves snapped a five-game losing streak as they walked off on the Squirrels 5-4. It was Erie's first walkoff win since Drew Longley connected on a grand slam to beat New Hampshire on June 17...The SeaWolves can split the season series with Richmond with a win today... Tonight, righty Austin Kubitza makes his 19th start of the season and second against Richmond. Kubitza earned a win against the Squirrels on June 13 allowing three runs, one earned, on six hits with two walks and three strikeouts in six innings of work. Kubitza took his fourth straight loss in his last start at Altoona on July 21. In the game, he allowed eight runs, seven earned, on 10 hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work. Erie lost the game 18-7... RHP Tyler Beede takes the mound for Richmond making his eighth start and second against Erie. Beede took a no-decision in his first start against Erie on June 12 allowing two runs on five hits with two walks and six strikeouts in six innings. Beede took a no-decision in his last start against Akron on July 20. In the game, he allowed three runs on three hits in six innings.
