HOME COOKING HAS WORKED: The Sea Dogs have won six of seven on their eight-game homestand, which concludes on Sunday afternoon against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays affiliate) at Hadlock Field. With last night's win, the 'Dogs have won three in a row for the first time since last August 29-31 vs. Harrisburg. With a win this afternoon, the Sea Dogs will earn their first series sweep of the season. Last Four Game Sweep, Home: 9/3-9/6/10 vs. New Hampshireand last Four Game Sweep, Road: 6/26-6/29/14 @ Reading

IT STILL COUNTS: Portland scored an unearned run in the seventh inning on Saturday night to beat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2-1. Sam Travis gave Portland a 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the sixth. The 'Cats tied the game in the seventh inning on a two-out RBI from Kevin Nolan. Williams Jerez (1-0) allowed one run over 2 IP, but earned his first Double-A win. Madison Younginer pitched two scoreless on two hits to notch his second save.
