Tonight, the SeaWolves continue a six-game homestand as they open a three-game series against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays) at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the 'Wolves benefitted from sketchy Portland defense in the eighth inning as they took a 6-4 lead en route to a series win. Erie has won four of its last five games heading into the weekend series with the Fisher Cats...The Fisher Cats are the top team in the Eastern Division and lead Trenton by a half game. They won two of three games at Akron on the first part of their road trip...Despite the back-to-back wins, the SeaWolves remain four games behind first place Harrisburg in the EL West. The entire Western Division is separated by 5.5 games...Erie is in a stretch of 13 consecutive game and 18 of 21 against the Eastern Division. The 'Wolves are also in a stretch where the club will play 29 games in a span on 28 days with a doubleheader on 5/28 vs. BNG...Lefty Jay Voss takes the mound for Erie making his fifth start. Voss earned his second win in his last start at New Britain on June 11. In the game, he allowed two runs on five hits with two walk while striking out a career-high eight. Erie won the game 8-2. Voss struggled in four relief appearances against the Fisher Cats in 2010 allowing six runs, four earned, on seven hits in 4.1 innings of work...RHP Robert Ray takes the mound for New Hampshire making his second start. He took a loss in his last outing against Richmond allowing six runs, four earned, on six hits with two walks and five strikeouts...The SeaWolves are looking for their third straight series win. Erie has lost just one series at home in 2011.
- New Hampshire won the 2010 season series over Erie 4-2. Martinez had nine hits (3 per game) in the Portland series.- Erie has lost just one home series this season and that was April 21-23 when the team dropped two of three against Bowie.
