Tonight, the SeaWolves look to extend their season-best winning streak to nine consecutive games as they host the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) in the middle game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. The 'Wolves came back from deficits of 6-1 and 9-6 to beat the Baysox in 10 innings in the series opener, winning their eighth straight game. The eight-game win streak is Erie's longest since the club won nine in a row May 17-24 in 2006. Erie's last 10-game winning streak was May 5-15 in 2004... Last night's win was Erie's fifth straight over the Baysox...Lefty Duane Below takes the mound for 'Wolves making his 24th start of the season and fifth against the Baysox. He is 1-1 with two no-decisions in his previous four against Bowie. Below picked up his first win since June 20 in his last start at Reading. In the game, he allowed a run on three hits with two walks and five strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work. Below has worked at least 5.2 innings in each of his last three starts...Righty Eddie Gamboa takes the mound for Bowie. Gamboa is making his 32nd appearance and seventh start. He picked up a win in his last outing against New Hampshire allowing three runs on seven hits with no walks and four strikeouts in five innings of work. The right hander is 0-1 with a 4.96 ERA in six appearances (one start) against the SeaWolves.
