Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a four-game slide as they take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) in the third game of a four game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the Aeros jumped ahead in the fourth inning and went on for a 6-5 win over the 'Wolves. The July struggles continued as the loss was Erie's fourth straight and it also dropped the club to a low water mark of seven games under .500. After dropping consecutive games at home just once through the first three months of the season, Erie has dropped back-to-back home games in consecutive homestands. Erie has not lost three straight home games in 2011 and the team has not lost more than four straight games. The 'Wolves have dropped four straight five times this season (5/7 - 5/10 + 6/1 - 6/4 + 6/19 - 6/22 + 6/28 - 7/1 + Current)...Lefty Casey Crosby makes his 17th start of the season and third against the Aeros. He is 0-1 with a no-decision in his previous two starts against the Aeros. Crosby picked up his sixth win in his last start against Trenton on July 18. In the game, he allowed three runs on 10 hits with five walks and five strikeouts in five innings of work. Erie won the game 5-4...Right hander Austin Adams takes the mound for the Aeros making his 19th start and third against the SeaWolves. Erie beat Adams on July 3 at Jerry Uht Park. He went 7.1 innings in his last start against Altoona in a no-decision, allowing three runs on eight hits with a walk and six strikeouts. Opponents are hitting .274 against Adams this season.
