DOUBLING UP: The Flying Squirrels are 5-3 in true doubleheaders this season entering tonight's doubleheader with the Senators...After today, the club has one doubleheader still remaining on its schedule: 8/23 at Altoona...Harrisburg is 12-3 in doubleheader games this season and two of the Senators three losses in doubleheader games have come against the Flying Squirrels.

TWO OUT MAGIC: The Flying Squirrels have scored 10 of their 11 runs through the first the games of the series with two outs in an inning...The club rallied for five runs with two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning in the series-opener and scored all three of its runs in game one of yesterday's doubleheader with two outs in the bottom of the first.

SHUT OUT BY THE SENATORS: The Flying Squirrels were shutout for the sixth time this season, blanked by the Senators in game two of yesterday's doubleheader 1-0...It's the first time that Richmond was shutout since 6/7 when the club fell in Portland 6-0...The shutout thrown by Harrisburg was its 10th of the season, tops in the Eastern League...The Senators have also been shutout a league-low two times.

THE GEORGIA PEACH: Second baseman Charlie Culberson has hits in seven straight games, going 12-for-28 (.429) with four doubles, two RBIs, and four runs scored...Overall in his last 26 games, Culberson is hitting .350 (36-for-103) and he has raised his batting average from .248 to .275 over that span...Culberson leads the club with 24 doubles and is tied with outfielder Roger Kieschnick for the team lead with 33 extra-base hits.

PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 3.24 ERA through 98 games and has allowed a league-low 363 runs...Richmond's pitching staff has allowed two runs or less in 37 of its 98 games (38%)...Starting pitching has allowed three runs or less in 69 of the team's 98 games (70%) and the club is 46-23 in those contests.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The Flying Squirrels are in the middle of a stretch where they are playing 14 of 20 games on the road...Overall, the club is 18-28 on the road, and is batting .216 and averaging 3.46 runs per game (159R/46G) in 46 road contests...The club is 34-18 overall at home - the second-best home record in the league - and is batting .259 in 52 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.52 runs per game at home (235R/52G).
