ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION... Tonight, the SeaWolves will again try to snap their second-longest losing streak of the season in the third game of a four-game series at Waterfront Park against the Trenton Thunder. Yesterday, Trenton shut out Erie for the second time this season by a 4-0 score. The loss was Erie's seventh straight and it put the âWolves back at .500 at 23-23. The Howlers are now clinging to third place in the Western Division. The loss also puts the SeaWolves record at 2-11 in games at Waterfront Park going back to the 2008 season. Erie is winless in Trenton this season. The SeaWolves are hitting just .185 in nine games against the Thunder this season. The âWolves need to win all remaining games against the Thunder to salvage a season-series split ..The SeaWolves send lefty Jon Kibler to the mound making his 10th start of the season and second against Trenton. Kibler is 0-1 with a no-decision in two starts against the Thunder. He suffered his worst outing of the season in his last start going 2.1 innings, allowing a season-high six runs on six hits with three walks and one strikeout...Righty D.J. Mitchell takes the mound for Trenton making his ninth start of the season and first against the SeaWolves. Mitchell took a no-decision in his last start at Portland going five innings, allowing four runs on a season-high 11 hits with three walks and four strikeouts.
