Tonight, the SeaWolves look for back-to-back wins as they take on the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees) in the middle game of a three-game series at ARM & HAMMER Park. Last night, the SeaWolves jumped ahead early to a 2-0 lead and went on to beat Trenton 3-2 in the series opener. A win in either of the next two games will give the 'Wolves their first series win against Trenton this season...Right-hander Warwick Saupold takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 11th appearance, 10th start and third appearance against Trenton. Saupold has made two appearances against the Thunder and has allowed two earned runs in 12 innings pitched. Saupold took his second straight loss in his last start against Altoona on June 5. In the game, he allowed three runs on 11 hits with a walk and three strikeouts in six innings of work. Erie lost the game 4-3... Lefty Caleb Smith takes the mound for Trenton making his 10th start and fourth against the SeaWolves. Smith is 1-2 against Erie this season. In his last start against Binghamton, Smith tossed 6.1 shutout innings, allowing one hit with a two walks and five strikeouts earning his third win of the season.
