----- The SeaWolves will look for a series split tonight as they take on the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals) in the final game of a four-game series at Metro Bank Park. Last night, the SeaWolves squandered an early five-run lead as the Senators plated eight unanswered runs, giving Erie its second straight road loss. Its the first time the SeaWolves have dropped back-to-back road games since they lost six straight May 18-31...Tonight, righty Patrcik Cooper takes the mound for Erie making his 12th appearance and sixth start and first appearance against the Senators. Cooper took his first loss in his last start against Akron on June 28. In the game, he allowed five runs on six hits with three walks and two strikeouts in 3.1 innings. Erie lost the game 7-1...Right-hander Ryan Perry takes the mound for the Senators making his third start and first against the SeaWolves. Perry, the Tigers former first round selection (21st overall) in the 2008 draft, began the season as a reliever in Triple-A Syracuse where he posted a 1-1 record with two saves and a 4.50 ERA. Perry took a loss in his last start against Altoona on June 28. In the game, he allowed two runs on two hits with three walks and five strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work...The SeaWolves return home tomorrow night to begin a six-game homestand. They will host Akron for three and Harrisburg for three...The SeaWolves will wear special Stars and Stripes Caps during the entire Akron series. The caps will be autographed and auctioned off with proceeds benefitting veterans charities. Limited stock of these caps are available for purchase.
