ENTERING TODAY'S ACTION...

Today, the SeaWolves look to snap a two-game losing skid and a season-long six-game road losing streak as they take the field in the middle game of a three-game series against the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) at NYSEG Stadium. Erie's road troubles continued on Friday night as they were shut out by the B-Mets 4-0. It was the

seventh time this season that the 'Wolves were shut out. The loss dripped Erie to 10 games behind first place Akron, 4.5 games behind second place Reading and 1.5 games behind third place Bowie...Both Erie and Binghamton are 3-7 in their last 10 games...The Howlers are 11-6 against Northern Division opponents and are a perfect 5-for-5 in series against the North. Erie is in a stretch of seven consecutive games and will play 41 games against the EL North this season. Erie will see the B-Mets 10 times in the month of July. From July 10-30 (19 games) Erie will play seven against Binghamton and 12 against Akron...Righty Pat Stanley looks for his second straight win as he makes his eighth start today. Stanley took down Trenton in his last outing going six innings, allowing three runs on six hits with four walks and three strikeouts. Stanley can become Erie's only starting pitcher with a winning record with a win today. He is 2-0 against teams from the EL North...Lefty Eric Niesen takes the mound for the B-Mets. Niesen is winless in four starts for the B-Mets. In his last start, he took a loss to New Hampshire going just 2.2 innings, allowing three runs on two hits with four walks and five strikeouts. Niesen has walked 12 in 17.2 IP...Erie is hitting just .224 over the last 10 games with 10 home runs and 36 runs scored.
