
Big Phillies Ibanez Expected to Play for R-Phils

Reading, PA - Philadelphia Phillies left fielder Raul Ibanez is expected to play for the Reading Phillies on Major League rehab assignment on Monday, July 6, vs. the Connecticut Defenders (Giants) at 12:05 PM. Ibanez was voted in by the fans as one of the National League's starting outfielders for the July 14 MLB All-Star Game in St. Louis.
Ibanez has been on the disabled list since June 18 with a left groin strain. He is hitting .312 (78-250) with a 22 HR and 59 RBI.
