ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves take the field for the first time this season against the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) at Canal Park. This is the first meeting between these two clubs since the Aeros downed Erie three games to one in the 2007 Southern Division Championship Series...The SeaWolves have won three straight games and look to tie a season-best four-game winning streak that opened the 2008 season. The ‘Wolves have also won two straight on the road dating back to last week when they won the final two games of a series in Harrisburg. After dropping four straight series, the ‘Wolves have now won two straight (vs. HAR & ALT). Both Erie and Akron are coming off their first scheduled off day of the season. The SeaWolves are 0-2 following off days caused by rainouts...Leftie Luke French makes his fourth start and fifth appearance of the season tonight for Erie. French picked up his first Double-A win in his last start at Harrisburg. He shut out the Senators for eight innings allowing just three hits (all singles). French combined with Casey Fien picked up Erie's second shutout win of the season that day...Leftie Ryan Edell takes the mound for the Aeros. Edell picked up his first win of the year in his last start at Altoona where he went eight shutout innings allowing just four hits with no walks and two strikeouts. Edell has not allowed more than three runs in each of his first four starts of the season...Erie is on the back end of a stretch of 17 games with 13 being away from Jerry Uht Park.

- Freddy Guzman leads the league with 13 stolen bases and 23 runs scored. He is tied for the league lead with four triples.
