Energy Extend Win Streak To Five Games With 111-103 Victory Over Dakota

DES MOINES, IA - Four Iowa players scored 20 points or more as they Energy defeated the Dakota Wizards 111-103 Saturday night. The win maintains Iowa's perfect 8-0 record on the season against the Wizards.

Saturday night's game was a tight matchup throughout. While the game saw only four lead changes, it took the Energy all four quarters to put away a pesky Dakota team.

Iowa clung to a 76-74 lead heading into the 4th quarter, and outscored the visitors 35-29 in the final quarter to seal the victory. The Energy led by as many as 13 points on the night, and despite the tight contest, never trailed by more than two points.

Othyus Jeffers (22 points) led the Energy charge, while Courtney Sims, Mike Taylor and Marqus Blakely each scored 20 points. Chicago Bulls assignee James Johnson scored 12 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in the win.

The win moves the Energy to 25-9 on the year, the best record in the NBA D-League.

Dakota was led by Renaldo Major's 25 points. With the loss, Dakota stands at 11-23 on the season.

The Energy travel to Sioux Falls on Tuesday before taking some time off for the NBA and NBA D-League All-Star Weekend.
