
66ers Fall to Utah Flash, 113-95

TULSA, Okla. - Center Byron Mullens notched 18 points, nine rebounds and two blocked shots for the Tulsa 66ers (23-10) and guard Robert Vaden added 12 points but the 66ers fell to the Utah Flash (16-15) Saturday evening, 113-95, inside the Tulsa Convention Center.
Also scoring in double figures for Tulsa was Jerome Dyson with 10 points. Brandon Brooks led the team with five assists.
"I think we have to get back to the basics and learn from this weekend," 66ers head coach Nate Tibbetts said. "We're a young team that has to continue to improve. We need to bounce back from a tough stretch. I thought our effort was good tonight but we need to work on our execution."
Leading the Flash was guard Kevin Kruger with a game-high 21 points. Nkem Ojougboh notched the only double-double of the game with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Offensively, Tulsa held a 56-38 advantage in points in the paint. The 66ers also recorded a 23-15 advantage in second chance points.
The 66ers will return to the court on Wednesday, Feb. 16, when they travel to South Dakota to take on the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 7 p.m. CT. The game was originally scheduled for Dec. 11 but was postponed due to inclement weather.
