ORLANDO, Fla. - November 10, 2012 - The Elmira Jackals make their first, and only, visit of the season to the Amway Center tonight to battle the expansion Orlando Solar Bears.

Tonight is the first of three scheduled meeting between the Jackals and Solar Bears this season. The expansion Solar Bears have gone 2-1-2 on home ice this season but has dropped each of its last three games at the Amway Center (0-1-2) Elmira is the first non-South Division team that the Solar Bears will face this season, while after tonight Elmira will have played more games against the South Division (6) than any other in the league. The Solar bears have been playing high-scoring games this season with the average combined scores in their games sitting at 6.6. The Jackals, meanwhile, have been combining with opponents to average 6.1 goals per game.
Rookie forward Darren Kramer has acclimated himself well to his new surroundings after being reassigned to the Jackals from Binghamton on November 7. He has scored a goal in each of his first two games with the Jackals and is tied with Brad Peltz for the most goals among Elmira rookies. Kramer is coming off of a final season with Spokane of the Western Hockey League that saw him finish third on the team with a career high 22 goals. He made his pro debut on October 21 for Binghamton against Hershey and earned his first pro penalty minutes in a fight with Steven Oleksy. Kramer was a sixth round draft pick (#156) by Ottawa in 2011.
