ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, continue their season-long six-game home stand today against the Adirondack Thunder in a Sunday afternoon affair.

MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP
Today the Jackals welcome the Adirondack Thunder to First Arena. This game will mark the fifth meeting of the year between Elmira and Adirondack. The Jackals are 2-2-0. The Thunder won the first two meetings, 4-1 in the season opener at First Arena, where Ken Appleby made 29 saves and Louick Marcotte scored twice, and the first meeting in Glens Falls, 2-1, on 11/25, thanks to 31 saves by Appleby and a game-winning goal by Marcotte. The Jackals have won the two most recent meetings. On 11/28 the Jackals won, 5-4 in a shootout, where Hohmann and MacDonald had three point games for Elmira and Lundstrom made 44 saves for the win. On 12/16, the Jackals defeated the Thunder 6-4, when Lundstrom made 31 saves on 32 shots in relief of Motte, and the Jackals scored on six of 16 shots, as McPherson and Kea each scored twice for the Jackals. MacDonald, McPherson, and Kea each have two goals for the Jackals on the season series, while Clare, Langkow, and MacDonald lead the team with three assists. MacDonald leads the team with five points.
