Eight members of the first-half champion Lancaster Barnstormers will head to Camden next week for the 15th annual Atlantic League All-Star Game to be held at Campbell's Field.

The selection of position players was based upon online voting from league fans plus polling of Atlantic League managers, officials and media. Two pitchers are then selected from each team.

The entire Lancaster starting outfield was chosen. Center fielder Adam Godwin leads the league in batting average (.347), runs (47), hits (93) and stolen bases (21). The Alabama native had a 16-game hitting streak earlier this season and was batting over .400 as recently as May 26. Right fielder Fehlandt Lentini is currently fifth in the Atlantic League in batting (.324), fourth in hits (78) and second in steals (20). The Northern California resident, in his first season in Lancaster, has contributed seven homers and 37 RBI. Left fielder Blake Gailen ranks eighth in the league with a .320 average. Gailen has 11 home runs, 37 RBI and 12 stolen bases for the year, the West Hills, CA resident's first with the Barnstormers. All three have played stellar defense as well.

Shortstop Jaime Pedroza began the year as Lancaster's utility infielder but quickly worked his way into an everyday role. Since May 30, he has batted .353, raising his season average to .303. The Riverside, CA resident is third in the league with 12 home runs and tied for third with 44 RBI, 14 of which have come in the last 10 games as Lancaster completed its mission to win the first half.

Corner infielder Terry Tiffee was also selected to the team. The native of North Little Rock, AR, has been a steady force in the Barnstormers offense all season, batting .287 with 11 homers and 43 RBI in his second season with the Barnstormers. He has played 31 games at first base, 26 at third and spent one game behind the plate.

Lancaster's final position player is catcher Emerson Frostad. The left-handed batter from Calgary, Alberta is tenth in the league in batting at .315 and ranks second with a .439 on-base percentage. He has hit four home runs and has driven home 19.

John Halama and Tim Hamulack are the Barnstormers pitchers who were selected for the game. Halama, the former big league lefty, who has won 56 games at that level, currently leads the Atlantic League with a 2.65 ERA and innings pitched (88.1). He is in his sixth Atlantic League season and second with the Barnstormers. The Brooklyn, NY native has gone 5-4 and pitched a complete game at Camden on May 17 to secure manager Butch Hobson's 1500th career victory.

Hamulack, who resides in York, tops the league with 14 saves. He is 2-1 with a 2.66 ERA and has struck out 27 while walking only five in 23.2 innings of work. The left-hander has thrown 12 consecutive scoreless one-inning appearances, going 2-0 with seven saves. He has allowed only five hits in those 12 innings while walking three and striking out 15.

"All eight guys deserve it," said manager Butch Hobson. "They've had great first halves, and I'm proud to have them represent us and the Freedom Division."

The All-Star Game is scheduled for Wednesday, July 11th at 7:05 at Campbell's Field. Tickets are available through the Riversharks website at www.riversharks.com or by calling 1-866-SHARKS9.
