Edwin Cerrillo, Paxton Pomykal, Brandon Servania Called into United States U-20 National Team for 2019 U-20 World Cup

Frisco, Texas - FC Dallas midfielders Edwin Cerrillo, Paxton Pomykal and Brandon Servania have been called up by head coach Tab Ramos to represent United States U-20 National Team in the 2019 U-20 World Cup running from May 23 to June 15, 2019 in Poland.

Cerrillo and Servania will depart on Monday following FC Dallas' game against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, May 11. Pomykal will join his FC Dallas teammates and the rest of the U-20 squad on Monday, May 20 and will be available for both FC Dallas matches against Los Angeles FC.

This will be Cerrillo's first call-up for the U-20 National Team. Cerrillo, 18, was the first Academy product signed under new FC Dallas head coach Luchi Gonzalez on February 14, 2019. Cerrillo has started in seven consecutive games since March 23 after being subbed on in the final 11 minutes of the 2-0 win vs. LA Galaxy on March 9. He notched his first professional assist on April 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, helping Dallas defeat Atlanta United FC, 2-1.

Pomykal and Servania attended the U-20 National Team camp in January and were part of the U-20 squad that won its second straight Concacaf U-20 title after defeating Mexico 2-0 in the final on Nov. 21. Pomykal scored three goals in eight games and Servania scored two goals in six games throughout the three-week tournament.

Pomykal, 19, was signed as the 15th Homegrown player from the FC Dallas Academy on Sept. 8, 2016. The attacking midfielder has started in eight matches for FC Dallas this season and scored his first professional brace on March 30 against Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium. He also recorded his first assist on March 9 vs. LA Galaxy.

Servania, 19, signed with FC Dallas on Jan. 3, 2018 as the 19th Homegrown for the club. He made his debut for FC Dallas in the 88th minute in the 2-1 loss against the Philadelphia Union at Talen Energy Stadium on April 6. Servania has started in four matches for FC Dallas' USL League One team, North Texas Soccer Club, helping the squad earn four consecutive victories.

The U-20 National Team was drawn into Group D for the 22nd edition of the tournament and will play matches against Ukraine, Nigeria and Qatar in the group stage.
