
Edinger Strikes Again

FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics members of the United Hockey League (UHL) are excited to announce that Center, Adam Edinger has been named the Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week.
This marks the second time this season that Edinger has won the award. On January 19th Edinger took home the honors after finishing with six points in three games.
This week in three games Edinger tallied seven points (3 goals, 4 assists) on 10 shots including a +5 rating and totaling only 2 PIM's. Of his seven points, four of them were tallied against the Elmira Jackals when he totaled 1 goal and 3 assists in the victory for the Mechanics.
With the seven-point week, Edinger now takes over the team lead in points and is currently tied for second in the UHL with 28 goals. With 45 points in 41 games played, Edinger surpasses Greg Bullock whom had been leading the team in points since the start of the season.
This is the second honor taken home by a Mechanic this season and it was the fifth weekly nomination for Edinger. Edinger and the Mechanics remain on the road for another game on Tuesday. The Mechanics face-off against Danbury for a midweek meeting against the Trashers, face-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. The Mechanics return home on Wednesday February 8th to face the Rockford IceHogs on ladies night.
