Big Snake finished the second period scoring late in the frame, ripping home a rebound past Jason Saal at 19:58, giving the Hogs a 3-1 lead heading into the second break. In the third period, Johnson continued the scoring binge at 3:04 banking a shot off of Saal. Defenseman Steve Pelletier extended the Hogs lead to 5-1 with a power-play blast at 7:20 of the final period. Flint responded at 10:29 with a marker from winger Sean Starke at 10:29, cutting the lead down to three. The two clubs then traded goals in the final two minutes with Yetman knocking in his second of the game at 18:18 and Leo Thomas finishing the scoring for Flint, shooting in a power-play goal at 19:53.
