ECHL Announces Fines, Suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Friday announced the following fines and suspension.

Elmira's Peltz fined

Elmira's Brad Peltz has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of a violation of the ECHL's exclusive equipment policy.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Idaho's Tousignant fined, suspended

Idaho's Mathieu Tousignant has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #113, Bakersfield at Idaho, on Nov. 7.

Tousignant is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline, as the result of a hit delivered to an opponent.

Tousignant will miss Idaho's games vs. Bakersfield (Nov. 9 and Nov. 10), vs. Stockton (Nov. 14) and at San Francisco (Nov. 16).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
