Eberly An All-Star Starter

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that defenseman Dan Eberly is now a starter for the 2005 ECHL All-Star Game. Eberly will start in place of injured Victoria defenseman Brad Dexter.

Eberly, Toledo's defenseman leader in points with 15, is heading to his first All-Star game in just his second professional season. Dan, drafted by the New York Rangers in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, spent most of last season with the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL. Eberly made his way to Toledo via a trade with the Bullies on March 3, 2004. In his 10 games with Toledo last season, Dan collected one assist. Eberly is the first Storm player to start an All-Star game since Andrew Williamson in 2000.

Sponsored by Coors Light and hosted by the Reading Royals, the 13th Annual ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition will be held at the 7,215-seat Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa. The Skills Competition will be on January 25 at 7:05 p.m. and the All-Star Game will be played on January 26 at 7:05 p.m. The 2005 ECHL All-Star game will be telecast locally by BCSN.

Toledo is home this Friday night against the Wheeling Nailers. Saturday night features the Alumni game, followed by the Storm and the Dayton Bombers. Toledo Hockey...A History Of Champions!
