Avon, OH-As the residents and friends of The Belvedere of Westlake Assisted Living Facility bid farewell to their favorite summer resident, Josh Faiola of the Lake Erie Crushers, ESPN E:60 will be on hand to capture the action.
At 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, a reporter from the behind-the-scenes national cable sports show will be among the crowd at the good luck send-off party in Josh's honor. Later that day, Josh and the Crushers will play their last regular season home game at All-Pro Freight Stadium in Avon before heading to the playoffs. (At this writing, they are in second place in the Frontier League's East Division).
Josh's story gained national attention when CNN.com published a May 13, 2009 piece highlighting his unique host family placement. ESPN has been following Josh and his experience at The Belvedere since airing their first interview with him on May 20.
The Lake Erie Crushers, the Frontier League's newest team wrap up their inaugural regular season Sunday, September 6th at 5:05pm at All Pro Freight Stadium. All Pro Freight Stadium, the new 5,000 capacity ballpark is located at the intersection of I-90 and Route 611 in Avon. 2010 Season tickets are on sale now!
