Dustin Gazley Named to ECHL All-Star Team

ELMIRA, N.Y. - January 3, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals announced today that their leading scorer, forward Dustin Gazley, has been named to the 2013 ECHL All-Star Team.

The 2013 ECHL All-Star Week, presented by CCM, begins on January 22 with the ECHL All-Star Skills Competition, presented by Otterbox, and continues with the ECHL All-Star Game on January 23 with the ECHL All-Star Team taking on the host Colorado Eagles at the Budweiser Events Center. Both events begin at 7:05 p.m. MT.

Gazley, the reigning ECHL Rookie of the Year and scoring champion, currently leads the Jackals with 32 points (9G, 23A) through 26 games. He ended the month of December on a season-best five game point streak (3G, 5A) that moved him to eighth in the league in assists. He played in his 100th ECHL game on December 31 at Wheeling and recorded his 100th ECHL point on November 17 at home against Trenton.

Gazley becomes the sixth Jackal to be named an ECHL All-Star joining defenseman Tomas Kudelka (2008) and forwards Josh Aspenlind (2009), Justin Donati (2010), Maxime Gratchev (2010), and Eric Lampe (2011).
