San Francisco Bulls News Release

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls (12-17-1-4) were defeated by the Colorado Eagles (17-14-1-2), 2-1, in a shootout, Wednesday night at the Cow Palace. Torrey Mitchell scored the only goal in regulation for the Bulls in his return to the Bay Area. Filling in for the injured Thomas Heemskerk, Taylor Nelson was spectacular for the Bulls making 34 saves.

Mitchell made his presence known early in the game when he scored his first goal in a San Francisco sweater with 9:14 remaining in the first period. A strange play led to the puck bouncing into the air and over the shoulder of Adam Brown. Justin Bowers and Dean Ouellet picked up the assists.

Colorado found the equalizer at 4:49 of the second period. Devin DiDiomete got the puck past Nelson for his second goal of the season. The goal was assisted by Isaac Smeltzer and Teegan Moore.

The teams skated hard in the third period to try to find a winning goal, but Nelson and Brown stood tall for their respective teams.

After a scoreless overtime the game proceeded to a shootout where Colorado won in the eighth round on a Steve Haddon goal. Peter Sivak scored the only goal in the shootout for the Bulls.
