Toledo Mud Hens (53-47) vs. Durham Bulls (57-43)
LHP Ryan Carpenter (1-5, 5.72/ML Rehab) vs. LHP Kyle Bird (1-0, 2.53)
After the Durham Bulls opened a six-game homestand Tuesday night with a 4-3 victory over the Toledo Mud Hens, the Bulls send Kyle Bird to the mound tonight for game two of three against the Mud Hens looking for a series win for the first time following the All-Star break. Ryan Carpenter is scheduled to make an MLB rehab start for the Hens. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
The Bulls currently hold a 3.5-game lead over the Norfolk Tides (53-46) in the South Division. The Mud Hens have a 53-47 record and sit just a 0.5-game up on the Indianapolis Indians (52-47) for the West Division lead, and have lost four in a row.
