PEARL, Miss. - The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (18-30) defeated the Mississippi Braves (21-25) by a 4-1 score in the third game of the five-game series at Trustmark Park on Friday night.

Jacksonville right-handed starting pitcher Robert Dugger (5-5) earned his fourth straight victory as he pitched seven innings allowing a run on five hits with one walk and eight strikeouts. Mississippi right-handed starting pitcher Jasseel De La Cruz (0-1) took the loss in his Double-A debut. He allowed four runs (all earned) on six hits with three walks and four strikeouts. Jacksonville left-handed relief pitcher Dylan Lee earned his fifth save of the year and his second in as many nights as he turned in a scoreless ninth.

Jacksonville cracked the scoreboard first in the top of the third inning. With the bases loaded, a De La Cruz wild pitch scored Dugger from third to give the Shrimp a 1-0 lead. Joe Dunand made it a 2-0 lead with his sacrifice fly to center that scored Magneuris Sierra from third. Mississippi answered in the bottom of the third with an RBI single by Drew Waters to cut Jacksonville's lead to 2-1.

With two outs in the top of the fifth, Bryson Brigman delivered an RBI single to grow Jacksonville's lead to 3-1. Stone Garrett quickly brought him home with an RBI triple to center field to put Jacksonville's lead at 4-1, which would be the final.

The win marks the first time that the Jumbo Shrimp have won back-to-back games on the road this season. Mississippi's Cristian Pache finished the game 4-4 with a double.
