Duff Promoted to Trenton

(Trenton, NJ)- The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have announced that RHP Grant Duff has been promoted to Trenton from Tampa (High-A), and RHP Amaury Sanit has been called up to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Triple-A).

Duff has spent the entire season with Tampa. He appeared in 24 games (one start) with the Tampa Yankees, and had an 0-1 record with a 3.82 ERA and one save. In 2008, the Milton, Florida native spent the entire season with Tampa. He made 30 appearances (eight starts) and went 3-6 with a 4.30 ERA and two saves. Duff was selected by the Yankees in the 31st round of the 2004 draft out of the College of the Sequoias.

During 2009, Sanit has appeared in 21 games for Trenton, and has compiled a 1-2 record with a 2.95 ERA and 10 saves. He was 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA in four appearances with Tampa. He was promoted to Trenton on April 25th. The Havana, Cuba native was signed by the Yankees as a non-drafted fee agent on August 9, 2008.

Trenton and New Hampshire continue a three-game series tonight from Waterfront Park. LHP Wilkin De La Rosa (3-4, 4.13) will start for Trenton against New Hampshire RHP Rey Gonzalez (4-5, 2.95).
