
Ducks Double up Patriots 4-2

Central Islip, NY - The Long Island Ducks (15-21, 55-50) defeated the Somerset Patriots (22-14, 69-37) 4-2 Friday evening from Bethpage Ballpark.
In the top of the fifth inning center fielder Jonny Tucker sliced a two RBI single to give Somerset a 2-0 advantage.
The Ducks scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 4-2 lead. Second baseman Cody Puckett served a two RBI double while catcher Brandon Bantz socked a two run home run (3).
Jared Lansford (5-4) earned the win tossing a complete game while scattering seven hits and two runs. Matt Maloney (8-6) endured the loss hurling 5.2 innings while allowing four runs yet none earned.
