
Skeeters Drop Game 1 against Riversharks

Sugar Land Space Cowboys News Release
Sugar Land dropped the series opener with a 5-1 loss tonight against Camden at Constellation Field. Following the loss, the Skeeters are 20-16 in the second half and just .5 games ahead of second-place York (19-16).
Skeeters starting pitcher Sean Gallagher went 5.1 innings and allowed four runs on five hits. The right-hander collected the loss in tonight's game for a 0-3 record on the season.
Delwyn Young (1x3) hit a one out single and then advanced from first to third on a wild pitch. The first baseman then scored the team's first and only run on a sacrifice fly by designated hitter Nick Stavinoha (2x3).
Ramon Delgado entered the game with runners on and just one out in the sixth and forced Camden's Jose Morales into a 4-6-3 double play to end the frame. Cory VanAllen pitched the seventh and did not allow any runs. Jared Wells tossed the eighth inning and allowed one run on one hit with two walks and two strikeouts. Ben Kozlowski finished the game with a scoreless ninth inning.
