Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee- Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that the Dropkick Murphys will perform in a post-game concert, courtesy of Time Warner Cable and Miller Lite, on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 following the team's 7:30 p.m. game versus the Chicago Wolves.

The Dropkick Murphys, an Irish-American Celtic Punk band originating in Boston, have released ten singles, two EP CDs and four full-length albums since the band's creation in 1996. The band attributes their music to a mixing of several genres including punk rock, Irish folk, rock and hardcore music.

"The Dropkick Murphys are the pre-eminent Irish punk rock band in the United States," said Greenberg. "Their brand of energetic music and their stage presence will make this a truly fun and memorable night for hockey and music fans alike. This is going to be a great night."

In 1998, the Dropkick Murphys released their first full length album Do or Die, and since then have had many successful singles including the radio hit "Walk Away" from their 2003 album Blackout, and "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" from their 2006 album The Warrior's Code.

In 2007, the Dropkick Murphys made their major-label debut with The Meanest of Times, released by Warner Bros. Records, and are currently working on material for their upcoming studio album, which is being planned for release sometime around St. Patrick's Day 2010.

The Dropkick Murphys have had the opportunity to travel and tour around the world, including a stint on the Vans Warped Tour in 2003. More recently in April 2009, the Dropkick Murphys joined Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band onstage in Boston for his Working on a Dream Tour, playing "Glory Days" and "American Land". In June 2009 the band opened up for Aerosmith during a "Hometown Heroes" concert in their home-state of Massachusetts. The band is currently on their US Tour, including several stops in Canada and will have just wrapped up a European tour prior their visit to the Bradley Center.

In addition, the band has appeared at the NHL's Boston Bruins games as well as in some of the team's promotional efforts.

Overall, the band has said its main goal is to play music that creates an all-for-one, one-for-all environment where everyone is encouraged to participate, sing along and have a good time. The performance by the Dropkick Murphys will be the second concert the Admirals will host for their fans this season along with a performance by Country Star Blake Shelton on January 29. The show is free to attend with an Admirals game ticket and is on sale now.

Fans can purchase tickets for Feb. 27th, or any Admirals game, by calling Ticketmaster at (414) 276-4545 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
