Houston Aeros News Release

HOUSTON - The Houston Aeros (10-10-0-0) fell 3-2 to the Milwaukee Admirals (7-6-1-2) Friday in front of 5,672 at Toyota Center. RW Petr Kalus and C Chad Rau each scored for Houston while Admirals forwards Mark Santorelli and Ryan Jones tallied two points apiece. G Anton Khudobin was pulled after Milwaukee's second goal at the 7:40 mark of the first period in favor of G Wade Dubielewicz (2-7-0). Dubielewicz finished the game with 16 saves to get saddled with the loss while G Chet Pickard (2-2-0) had 22 saves to record the win for Milwaukee.

The Admirals jumped out to a quick two-goal lead in the first period. D Robert Dietrich put Milwaukee on the board at 6:53 off helpers from RW Hugh Jessiman and C Ben Guite. Less than a minute later Santorelli tacked on goal number two on the power play for the Admirals; C Nick Spaling and LW Ryan Jones were credited with the assists.

After a scoreless middle frame, the Admirals extended their lead 1:05 into the third period when a centering feed deflected off a skate to the stick of Jones who beat Dubielewicz stick-side. The Aeros would make things interesting after Kalus scored at 7:22 and Rau cut the deficit to one with his power-play goal at 15:17. The Aeros pulled Dubielewicz in the final minutes but were unable to find the tying goal as the Admirals held on for the victory.

The Aeros finished 1-for-4 on the man advantage, extending their streak to six consecutive games with a power-play goal. The Admirals finished the night 1-for-2 on the power play; Houston out-shot Milwaukee 24-21.
