JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Gilberto Jimenez's three-run double in the top of the fourth inning gave Greenville the lead en route to a 4-2 win over the BlueClaws on Tuesday night at ShoreTown Ballpark.
The teams split a six-game series this week, with the BlueClaws falling to 16-27 and Greenville improving to 18-27 following the Sunday game.
The BlueClaws got a first inning run when Johan Rojas stole third and scored on a throwing error to take a 1-0 lead. For Rojas, it was the 89th stolen base of his career and he is now 22-22 on the base paths this season. Greenville tied the game in the second on an RBI single by Alex Erro.
The Drive broke the 1-1 tie with three runs in the fourth. JP Woodward (2-3) came on for Matt Russell with one out and gave up two hits and a walk to load the bases. Gilberto Jimenez drove a three-run double to left field to clear the bases and put the Drive up 4-1.
Jersey Shore got a run back in the seventh on a groundout by Jared Carr, but Ryan Zeferjahn got the last six outs for his first save.
Brian Van Belle (3-2), who came on in the third inning and gave up one unearned run in five innings, earned the win. Woodward was charged with three runs in 2/3 of an inning to take the loss.
