Greenville Drive News Release
Greenville, SC - An uneventful second game left the Greenville Drive scoreless and defeated by the Winston Salem Dash for the second time. The final score was Winston Salem 1-0.
The only scoring inning took place at the bottom of the third, where the Dash was able to score one run thanks to Oscar Colas. The Dash player smacked a triple to send Moises Castillo to the home plate, which was the only scoring hit of the game.
The Drive struggled throughout the game as each inning went scoreless by Greenville. Ceddanne Rafaela was the only Drive player to hit a single for the entirety of the second game of the series.
Shane Drohan put in great effort as he pitched for 5.0 innings, faced 19 batters, had seven strikeouts, and only allowed one run. However, he and his team still took home their second loss of the series in Winston Salem.
The series in Winston Salem continues tomorrow night at 7:00.
